Prepare your server

Choose your operating system and the applications you want installed before shipping. We confirm compatibility before the build.

2. Choose your softwareOpen the checklist to select applications

Compatible software preinstallation is included. Data migration, custom workflows, paid licenses, and ongoing support are separate.

3. Optional setup servicesRequest a quote for the help you need

These boxes request a separate quote. They do not add a charge or purchase a service. No optional service is included unless agreed and paid for separately.

We confirm your selected OS, applications, hardware compatibility, timing, and any extra costs before ordering components. Final setup is your responsibility unless you arrange a separate setup service.

Ask about this setup

Choose one server package, select the operating system, and tell us what you want it to run.

Every Kituwa IT server is built to order, assembled, tested, and prepared before shipping. The five packages below cover everything from one or two light applications to large data collections and many simultaneous services.

More applications require stronger hardware.

The number of applications is only part of the picture. User count, photo indexing, video conversion, automation jobs, databases, and storage growth also affect performance. We review your requested software before ordering components and will tell you if the selected package is not a sensible fit.

Choose the operating system

Linux Mint — desktop starts automatically
A familiar graphical desktop appears at startup. Best when you want to manage the server locally with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
Linux Mint — manual desktop startup
The server starts in command-line mode for lower overhead. A graphical desktop is installed and can be started manually when needed.
Ubuntu Server — no desktop GUI
A streamlined server-focused installation intended primarily for web-based and remote administration.
Software you can request

Tell us which applications you want before the build is finalized. Common requests include:

  • Backups and remote access: backup scheduling, secure remote access, and basic health monitoring
  • Private files and collaboration: Nextcloud, Syncthing, BookStack, and compatible office tools
  • Photos and documents: Immich and Paperless-ngx
  • Media: Jellyfin and compatible media-management tools
  • Passwords and internal tools: Vaultwarden and other approved self-hosted applications
  • Automation and monitoring: n8n and Uptime Kuma

Use the server configurator to plan the system, or send your requested list after ordering. Additional software can be requested if it is not listed. Basic compatible preinstallation is included; custom workflows, data migration, paid licenses, extensive configuration, and ongoing administration are separate services.

What every server includes
  • The hardware listed for the selected package
  • Assembly, component testing, storage checks, and system updates
  • Your selected operating system installed
  • Compatible requested software installed before shipment
  • Basic build documentation and recovery information
  • A pre-build review of workload, compatibility, exact components, hardware condition, and expected timing
Setup and optional services

You can handle final setup yourself or request a separate quote for remote setup, data migration, backup configuration, staff training, monitoring, or ongoing maintenance. Requesting a quote does not add a charge to this order.

With self-setup, you are responsible for final network configuration, user accounts, permissions, backups, internet exposure, and ongoing administration. Any prepared remote access requires your authorization.

Build, delivery, and hardware substitutions

Exact component models, new or refurbished condition, operating system, software compatibility, requested settings, build timing, and delivery arrangements are confirmed before components are ordered. If a listed part is unavailable, no material substitution is made without agreement.

Shipping, tax, paid licenses, on-site work, migration, training, custom development, and ongoing maintenance are not included unless shown at checkout or agreed separately. Do not send passwords through ordinary email or order notes.

Storage, backups, and warranty

Drive capacities are nominal; formatted capacity is lower. Mirroring and RAID can reduce downtime after certain drive failures, but they do not replace an independent backup. Important data needs a separate backup plan.

A one-year limited hardware warranty and 90-day workmanship coverage apply to supplied hardware and agreed pre-shipment work. Ongoing technical support is not included. Read the warranty and support terms.
