Backup Setup and Restore Check

Make sure important files have a separate copy—and test that a sample can be recovered.

Choose the work you need

• Existing backup check — $249: review one device or host, one existing backup job, its schedule and recent results; restore an agreed sample of up to 1 GB to a separate test location. Includes up to 90 minutes of hands-on work and a written findings summary.
• New file backup setup — $299: configure one scheduled file backup from one computer to one compatible existing destination, for an agreed selection of up to 100 GB. Includes up to two hours of hands-on setup, one sample restore, and a short operating guide.

What we verify

We check the configured schedule, recent job status, access to the destination, and the selected restored files. The report says exactly what was tested. A successful sample restore does not prove that every file, complete system, or application can be recovered.

What you provide

Healthy source storage, administrator access, and enough space at a separate backup destination. Storage devices, cloud capacity, subscriptions, and substantial network changes cost extra. An initial upload can take longer than the live appointment; timing and verification are agreed before work starts.

Outside this package

Failed-drive recovery, ransomware cleanup, full bare-metal disaster-recovery testing, databases, multiple computers, large NAS migrations, and ongoing monitoring require a separate scope. File sync, mirroring, and RAID are not substitutes for an independent backup.

How delivery works

This is a remote professional service. No physical item is shipped and checkout does not reserve an immediate appointment. You keep ownership of your accounts and enter your own credentials. Hardware, subscriptions, third-party fees, and work beyond the selected scope are separate; any extra work needs your approval.
